A note on the heat: it’s consistently above 100F/40C.  I live in the desert!  The thing is though, after a couple of Berlin winters, I really don’t mind it all that much.  It is a really dry heat, I don’t have a problem with sweating, and I take care to drink enough water.   So I’m fine.  I’ll take whatever warmth I can get; soak it up, so I’ll have some reserves to live off of during the next winter in Germany.
